Sensory-Motor Handwriting Groups
6 Week Program (Fridays)


Tiny Tots Writing Group 
Ages 3.6 - 4.6 years old
Young children will begin to learn how to write capital letters and draw other simple symbols (i.e. shapes) in a developmental manner. This program incorporates using the senses of the body to facilitate body awareness, spatial awareness, motor sequencing and attention skills. The focus of this program is to promote good habits for handwriting and build the foundation for early drawing and writing skills while also integrating sounds and symbols for shape, letter and number recognition.
3:15 - 4:00 pm

 
Eazy-Breazy Writing Group        
Ages 5-7
Your child will write capital and lowercase letters, words and then sentences in a fun and playful manner. This program also facilitates developing the big and small muscles (gross and fine motor skills) of the body. The use of sensory-motor activities and specific types of music are used for active activities as well as used to calm the bodies to facilitate focus. 
4:15-5:00 pm
 

Cursive Writing Club
Ages 7-12
It's never too late to improve handwriting.  Writing can be fun while also building social interaction with peers. The use of fun sensory-motor activities are used to develop motor coordination and focus while also incorporating teamwork!  This program includes converting print to script then progressing to writing cursive letters by memory into words, sentences and copying skills.
5:15-6:00 pm

Child Must Be able to:
  • Separate from parent in a reasonable amount of time
  • Function in a small group
  • Follow simple instructions
  • Tolerate physical activities
