Occupational Therapy for Kidz (OT for Kidz)
A comprehensive private sensory based pediatric center who takes pride in our commitment to help children and their families to optimize their quality of life. We are dedicated in providing nothing less than excellence as we use an analytical approach to evaluate and treat our most precious jewels, our children.
Our Mission is to treat the "whole child" which includes using a sensory integration approach that involves using functional brain-based strategies to evaluate & treat while integrating approaches to strengthen the social-emotional, cognitive and physical development of young children. This is important for all aspects of life including being successful in school.
We learn:
10% of what we read (auditory/visual processing)
20% of what we hear (auditory processing)
30% of what we see (visual/vestibular processing)
50% of what we see and hear (visual/auditory
processsing)
60% of what we write (auditory/visual/vestibular
processing)
70% of what we experience (multi-sensory processing)
Our multiple state of the art sensory gyms are designed to treat different types of sensory processing disorders for children of various ages (0-12 years old). Our gyms, fine motor rooms and multi-purpose room were established for the purpose to make therapy effective as well as fun.
